Career Day Development Program 2018 - Margibi County

And God made it Good. Career Day Development Event at American Corner-Kakata went well. Thanks to the County Education Officer of Margibi County Mr. Andrew Jlay and the Academic Dean of the Kakata Rural Teachers Training Institute Ms. Sorna F. Sherif for lecturing secondary students in Kakata. 

We appreciate our career coaches too: Mr. Mallay Kekula, Ms. Victoria Jones, Mr. Beyan Abraham Sirleaf, Madam Daisay Fahnbulleh, MissYama Tokpah, and Mr. Eric Tokpah.

The day saw approximately 50 senior secondary students from 6 senior secondary schools in Kakata City; one of Liberia’s rural cities including students from St. Christopher Catholic School, John Joseph High School, Albert Orsborn Salvation Army School, George V. Gibson United Methodist High School, St. Paul Lutheran High School, ASECA High School, Booker Washington Institute, and the YMCA High School.

Most of all, to Mr. Peter S Dewellie and Mrs. #YassaDewellie whose human efforts brought the reality of the day. To our beloved volunteers Ms. NeejayLewis, Mairama Marrhazu, Mairam Dukuly, Jayah B.D. Konuwah, ZathyPennue, AnthonyCooper, HarrietPerry, Roland Dennis, Ernest Zackpah, Rachel Barlee, Diamond David.

Speaking at the program, the Principal of the St. Christopher Catholic High School in Kakata applauded LYFT Africa for the event which was the first of its kind in Kakata. He encouraged LYFT Africa to take the programs to more schools across the country so that more secondary senior students can benefit.
