Gender Ministry impressed by LYFT Africa’s “Day of the African Child” Event

  On June 16, 2022 at about 10:00 AM, the square of American Corner-Kakata was already a hive of activity . Dozens of children, activists and stakeholders who gathered to witness an eye-catching event organized by Leading Youths to Foster Transformation in Africa (LYFT Africa) held under the theme: “Eliminate Harmful Practices Affecting Children: Progress on Policy & Practice since 2013”.   Approximately 90 participants observed impressive performances from children who came from different schools in Paynesville and Kakata including the ASECA School System, Moses N. Ndorbor Memorial School of Excellence, Francis Mitchell Memorial Academy, St. Augustine Episcopal Mission High School, St. Christopher Catholic High School all of Kakata and SWEEP Solid Foundation School in Paynesville. Several organizations that advocate for the promotion and protection of children’s and youth’s rights were in attendance: the Liberia National Children’s Forum, Kids Care Liberia Foundation, Kakata C
