Secondary Career Day Program (American Corner-Kakata) 2019 ===================================================================== LAST YEAR IT WAS GREAT but THIS YEAR WAS GREATER. On Friday, October 11, 2019, LYFT Africa held its second edition of her Career coaching and counselling program at the American Corner-Kakata. Seven school were in attendance and approximately 87 participants were present. The event was graced by two powerful Instructors: Dr. John Sulonteh Smith, Lecturer at the University of Liberia spoke to participants about 'Identifying the Right Career' while Madam Sonah F. Sherif, Academic Dean of the Kakata Rural Teachers Training Institute spoke to participants about 'Developing the Right Career'. LYFT Africa 1st Anniversary and Official Launch

Last year, LYFT Africa was able to establish school clubs in six secondary schools in Paynesville City which helpd youths to identify and develop their talents and realize their full potentials. On the 16th of June, 2018, LYFT Africa organized the “International Day of the African Child” that brought together approximately 100 children from over 20 schools within the city of Paynesville. The organization also conducted an awareness in secondary schools about the danger of drugs on June 26, 2018 which marked the International Day Against Drugs Abuse and Illicit Trafficking. On August 11, 2018, LYFT Africa held the International Youth Day Symposium in partnership with the Ministry of Youths and Sports and on the 27th of September, 2018, the organization partnered with the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Youth and Sports to host a career day development program for senior secondary students in Paynesville City, Montserrado County and Kakata City in Margibi County.
